It has worked very well in macro, Tony. Excellent photo!
I had (because now is stolen) the simple Tamron 70-300, without VC, and I was using it almost only for macro, with very good results.

Yes, Dimitris, I see that your Tamron 70 - 300mm can do pleasing macro in your steady hands. Shows your bee on that exotic flower in fine detail. That orange/lemon bloom is super as well. TG

Jenn;... Thank you. Good to discover your Award up there just before closing down. Mr. Orange is on a black painted pipe railing along the river edge. He is about one inch long, so an average catapillar. Yours is no average Award though. Thanks again. TG

Michal;... Just saw your Award after thanking Jenn. Delighted!! Have to make 'macro' shots with this long tamron from about 20 feet back, yet I am so impressed with what it can do. I did have ideal lighting and that's all one needs. Thank you so much Michal. TG

Irene:...Thanks for your Award. The Tamron surprised me and now your Award is a more welcome surprise. Got a grey spider at the same time so that may show up here. Thank you Irene. Good incentive for trying harder. TG

Savvas;... Delighted to see your special Award up there. When I find a used D7100 Nikon these shots should come more easily. Just using the old Nikon 3200 with the Tamron now. The 3200 AF is hit and miss and slow. Thanks again Savvas. TG

Walt;... Thanks so much. Great to win your Award but I am not used to this. Next will upload an animated merganser / gosander that may be fairly deserving. This motivation has me going. Thanks a lot Walt. TG
