Mrs Urban Red

A night shot (with flash) of female urban red fox. There are about three female and two male foxes that are regular visitors to my garden.
Photographed (as usual) through double glazed window with speedlite outside the window and camera inside, all I can see and focus on is moving, darker shadows in the unlit garden and hope I have got the focus right. If a light is switched on the fox(s) move away to cover but don't seem to be put off with the flash.
I can sit at my window “fox watching” for hours and see nothing, then just a matter of seconds a fox appears out of the gloom, then it's as many photographs as I can get in the limited time available and it's gone as quickly as it appeared.

Its ears are pricked up, so must hearing or sensing something and getting ready to flee. Good capture, showing the fox in all its glorious colours and nicely in-focus.
