Mucky

By jonah794
Hi everyone!

I thought I'd have a go at making some interest out of my can, getting very mucky outdoors. Thanks to Janet for giving me the idea Smile

You can see a broken piece of ceramic at the bottom. Well, I accidentally dropped the pot as I was putting it down and it sort of shattered Sad However, I thought it made for some interest, so I left it ! Smile

Anyhow, I hope you like it - 10 exposures merged into HDR in photomatix and tonemapped, then textures added and fiddled in photoshop and lightroom.

Thanks for looking Grin
Jonah

Lovely Jonah,a good choice of location, that brick wall really does add to the image.
Great flowers,Peonies I think, they look lovely in the watering can.Well set up & thought out,an excellent result. The HDR is not overdone & has done it's job of bringing out all the details.
Just one teeny weeny niggle is that black plastic pot,it seems a tad out of place,a shame you didn't have another terracotta pot to put with the bits of the broken one Sad The vignette could have been a little more subtle too but I do like this very much....your best yet Smile
Well done you for rising to the challenge,I will give you another soon Wink

This is really good Jonah, you were right to leave the broken pot there (in fact I think it's probably better broken than whole, lol). Your work on this has certainly paid off - and now you can have the RC award too Smile
