So many gate places now look like this but you have caught the beauty in this sorry scene.
A remarkable and evocative image.

I think there is another image in this scene-- tho I suspect yoou arae reading it as a commentary on your weather---

a square-ish crop of the bottom of the image highlights the lines---tractor tracks--- the blue and brown compliment well!

It is quite amazing just how photographers can visualise a scene when others would walk past and not notice. I like this a lot, very well done, Bill.

You've caught it just right - I was out last fall, when we actually had some rain, trudging in mud - my boots all caked up with it. And cold, miserably cold. This speaks of all this.
