A fabulous follow up, Colin and I like both versions.
For some reason, the half chair in your lead image, actually works for me as does the silhouetted legs and boots of the man seated.
V1, of course is the way that most would've cropped and presented it but, I'll stick with the colour on this occasion.

And many thanks for your smashing award on my upload this morning, very much appreciated.Smile👍
Have a great weekend and my very best wishes to you and yours.

Well, this is a hard one.
In addition to Samantha's opinion 'She Who Must be Obeyed' and my barely adequate self have perused this for some time. We are going for the lead which aligns us with John and Mike. The connecting space inhabited by the sitter is completely blacked out in the colour which works a treat as it reinforces the sense of frames within frames. Samantha's rather cheeky suggestion is that (removed by the censor.) Another suggestion might be a portrait crop which harmonises with the orientation of the 'frames' in the image.
Yours, Sebastian Smugly-Smythe, arts critic of the Grauniad. 🧐
And another thing ... Covent Garden. 😀 (Reverse play in horizontal and diagonal moves when in nip.)

Thanks Graham
It was all going swimmingly there ... until Covent Garden
Beautifully disguised with a layer of artistic critique and then ... Whammo! Take that!
I will return in due course following some contemplative meditation
