With murky weather you get nice soft even light, even if somewhat low in intensity, but I feel the true colours show up so much better in these conditions, and there's always more atmosphere apparent.
So I like this one every bit as much as your sunny autumn shots, perhaps even that bit better.
Have a lovely Christmas Day and I send my best wishes for 2013.
Ronnie.

You've brought out the best in the scene despite weather conditions.

I broadly agree with Ronnier's comment Ed, rather than calling it murky, I'm more inclined to say a touch of mist, does add atmosphere and is not in the least detrimental!
Best wishes for a great Christmas, maybe Santa will have a new lens, or other piece of photographic equipment, for you Smile

A great composition, Ed, and still sosme autumnal colouring left on the trees, well captured. Have a wonderful Christmas and every good wish for health, wealth and happiness throughout the New Year. Carol

A nicely composed image that is so very typical of an English mid November morning. The lady on the path being taken for a drag by her spaniel reminds me of the primary fact of my life - no matter what the weather or what crisis we are enduring, the dogs have to be walked!

The benches seem to be looking on and waiting for customers.
Very beautifully composed, and timed. That dog is a character.
I agree with the comments above. Murk has its advantages!
Thanks for the time you spent looking at my portfolio last night, and wishing you a very happy Christmas,
Moira

Murky, maybe; attractive, certainly. Our trees mostly turned from summer to winter overnight, so it is a pleasure to observe the gradual changes you have been showing us.
Thank you for brightening the site with your thoughtful photographs and for your attentiveness throughout the year, Ed. So many of your comments are priceless that I can't begin to compete!
Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

There is a lot to be said about murky weather. Some of my favourite images have been captured in such conditions.

I hope that you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Ed.

Furthermore I would like to thank you for all you're caring comments and messages throughout the year.
