I have yet to ID these tiny mushrooms, the largest 2cm. high. In older ones the cap flattens out and has a slight dip in the centre. The stypes are bright yellow and seem to retain those hairy areas near the base as they enlarge.

Many thanks to all who commented on Amethyst Deceivers and with special thanks to Sue {SUE118}, Dave {HobbitDave}, Christina {cbrundage}, Kate {Irishkate} and Lynne {LynneJoyce} for their User Awards.

What ever they are Ronnie you have captured them perfectly in this very well composed and captured image. Both the colour and detail is exceptional as is the perfectly exposed light.

Thanks for sharing Ronnie.

I have been through the entire Fungi world collection Ronnie but cannot find an I/D on these beauties - sorry. Whatever their secret name, you have captured them beautifully, so for the moment I shall name them Ronniecus mysteria!

They look good enough to eat, Ronnie...but unless you know what they are then they look better just where they are, and not in a frying pan!
