Musical Interlude

By pamelajean
The start of my series of Abstracts.

The Royal Yeomanry Brass Band were playing outside Winchester Cathedral and when they took a break, they left their instruments behind and walked off, so I used the opportunity for some photos.

This is, of course, a trombone, photographed from an obscure angle, complete with reflections.

(The Band of The Royal Yeomanry is an Army Reserve symphonic wind band based in the heart of London, and recognised as one of the leading Army Reserve military bands in the British Army).

Many thanks for all the votes, views, splendid comments and most welcome awards for my pretty rose.

Pamela.

Instantly recognisable - but not. Almost a trombonist's eye view - but not. In other words, a really thoughtful interpretation, Pamela, and an excellent example of seizing the moment when taking a still life Smile

You can’t beat a good brass band or silver. I used to play in one many years ago. Superb image Pam, it’s got to have my gong

Quite a different offering from you, Pamela. It has my puzzling trying to work out all the instruments in frame. I can see the trombone but after that?? Well exposed and presented, so I think it merits some recognition from me!

Very intriguing at first glance, until reading your write-up and studying it again, it becomes clear as to what it is! 😁 A super capture, Pamela, love all the lines, curves and angles, and especially those reflections 👍
