Probably sounds silly, but it's quite a moving sentiment. Nicely done Sarah J

The type looks very crisp considering the years, but the message is still true.
America has gone to so many wars and come out with an awful lot of body bags.
They get hammered if they go and hammered if they don't.

Life is never simple when people die in the thousands.
We thought that after Hitler and Hirohito we might have seen sense prevail.
Sadly the list goes on across the world as we try to destroy mankind in ever increasing numbers.

Thank you everyone, appreciated!
Dougie, everything you've said is unfortunately so true! Very sad that we've still not learnt the lessons!

Very evocative image, I can recall this period in our history. A no win situation with a recurring question by the troops 'What the hell are we doing here?'
