I would be excited too Gary, he is wonderful. The colours jump out at you.
Is he a juvenile with that short tail or it that normal?

Can understand your excitement - I've always wanted to bag one also!
Glowing colours and a good catchlight in the eye.
No distactions in b/g.

This is an adult male....

Punchy colours, beautifully sharp image. Too central in the frame, crop to move him to the left and it will look much better. (rule of thirds) nice bit of catchlight too ....nice capture.

Always great to see one of these delightful animals Smile,

unfortunately a lot of pixelation so i guess that you have had ot crop in from the original somewhat, but still conisderably better than my own - i hope that this is the first of many for you

Well done mate, no doubt you will be back dressed in your camo gear to snap him again. Will you be seeking some advice from the Big O or will a few sprays of your trusty Lynx Africa suffice?!Wink

Large is excellent Gary, I have only ever seen them flashing past at a rate of knots, far too fast for me. to capture. Superb colour and detail. Love it. One enlarged for the wall at home Gary?
