My First Red Admiral.

By Tooma
As far as I can remember this is a shot from my first sighting of a Red Admiral; definitely the first one I have photographed. Not far from home, and only my trusty cell-phone to get the job done; have to say I'm fairly pleased with the quality. I did take a few more, but it's late and I'm tired, so just the one for now.

I was surprised to see this wee beauty did not fly like other flutterbyes which move in a not-quite-sure-where-I'm-going flight path, this beastie flew straight and direct, like a bird - and - I saw it fix its wings and GLIDE. I was so impressed with this brand; never seen that before either - from late September last year.

Excellent quality from a mobile, which could outshine some cameras for colour and sharpness. Well composed as well Tom.
