my guitar gently weeps

By Diana
I tried some of those techniques so generously given from my last so thank you for those I feel really privileged to receive your expertise

I weeped to this whilst editing

so… I cloned the BG out that shows the back ground stuff see V3 ..I have two backdrops one to the back and one to the side (see the join) so the 10mm caught both of those

V2 is without a crop I liked this one the best but…. some might say too much to the top soooo I cropped it in a bit

I then used that fuzziness thingy Lesley (cassiecat) suggested, then added a layer mask... masked back and….. I even flattened an image….. first time ever Wink really !

I think I got the box level, so thank you Willie for pointing that out in the last one .....then used a softener for the skin
thanks as always especially for the help, really appreciated

Great distortion of volumes, but not too much.

v2 for me. i wouldnt pass over a shoot for processing, i hate it! your selection with the dropper and fuzziness slider needs abit of modification as there are some remnants of the bg around the model, more noticeable around the head. I just used the clone tool set to mode lighten (on the top panel) with a hard brush and opacity 30% and went along the edge of the model, it didnt take long. think its worth masking back in the line of the stool as it gives a grounding for the model.lesley

V1 is so strong. I'm enjoying this series - have no experience of this sort of work so difficult to comment, but I love the feet and legs!

Super work Diana. This series is inspiring me to have a go at some portraits with the 10-20.
V1 crop definitely.

I too like V2, as it suggestive of her receding which is nice. I would leave a little more of the box visible so it doesnt simply appear to be a line in the left.

A very good shot.

At it again aren't you ? !

I love V2 for the same reasons that I liked your upload yesterday.

I was going to suggest that you either remove the box entirely, or include all of it but it looks like Willie's had that idea already.
I prefer the crop in this one as well.

For some reason, v2 calls to me. Love the perspective here with the leg forward. Excellent work Diana.
