my home, my country..

By bliba
Maihan means my home, my country..this young man left his home at the age of 14. He was traveling for 1 year by bus, truck, on foot ... Turkey he left with a crowded dinghy, he can not swim .... after this crossing he could not take a shower for 3 months ... he was so afraid of the water. in Athens he was in prison for almost half a year .... now he lives in Austria, works in the company where I work and will work trained as a car technician.
I wish Meihan a new home

thanks for looking

I wish him well. He has found friends, that's a good start in a strange country. And now he is a part of all of our lives.
A fine portrait of Maihan in his new world, full of the hope and confidence of youth.

Already king in his own domain, Maihan makes a fine subject for the low-viewpoint treatment.
A heartening story, of human resilience and humans opening their hearts to a fine young man.

Definitely, as follows from Meihan's story, it's about an exemplary (and alarmingly rare) situation when a newcomer to a foreign country becomes not part of the problem, but part of the solution. And wishing the best of luck to him in his new homeland.

A success story. He has every right to be proud, and Austria should be proud of giving him the opportunity.
So many don't get that....

A great Christmas story of hope and charity . I too wish Maihan well, he sounds like he is well on his way to being a contributing and valued member of Austrian society, we need to hear more of these positive refugee stories . Thanks for the introduction Oliver
Happy new year to you , and hope your Christmas was joyous .
Cheers Walt

We have hundreds of thousands of Maihans here. You can find them in every city and they find jobs because the work for less. A very sad story altogether.
Maihan appears to be luckier, I hope he will get established and be happier in the coming year. I like your POV which makes him look confident and happy.
A great portrait in mono, Ollie.
