Turn left at the end of Zimmerstraße into Axel-Springer-Straße and you are greeted with a view of the Berliner Fernsehturm, or of you prefer the Fernsehturm Berlin. It is worth while going up the tower for the views it affords.



Also in the photo you can see the ubiquitous but temporary pink pipes which are all over Berlin. They simply carry water from building sites to a canal or river to prevent flooding on site during construction. Berlin is built on swamp land so water is never the deep below the surface.

Love the light/shadows in the b/w. Also kills the pink pipes!

You had to say that, didn't you? You could have said nothing but, oh dear me, no.You threw down a challenge. Remind me never to photograph these pipes ever again!

You now have a mono with pink pipes, even the distant ones which are no more than a small number of pixels in size and more purple due to the shadows. The things we do for the love of our hobby!

To be honest, the pipes are better photographed in summer in full sun. There is too much shadow making the pink almost disappear at the smallest pixel levels.
