My World

Dead daddy long legs ( not by my hand ) macro on the cheap here , reverse ring used on 450d with stock 18 \ 55 lens , reverse ring cost about 6 , using this technique does bring problems but all can be resolved , for me the main point is to disconnect your lens with cam body switched on and depth of field button held down , yes this will attract dust to the sensor but we are improvising here , this will let you keep the aperture setting the lens was set to at the time of disconnecting ( allowing greater dof ) , this image is made up of 12 shots focused stacked using free net program . flash used with home made tin foil reflector tube , big thing when working this way is trial and error don't expect to get it right first time ( not that this is right ) but happy with result . Cheers for taking a look . Kel.

The detail is astonishing and this could easily grace the cover of New Scientist. I like the red glow at the bottom of the frame too. Outstanding macro!

An unusual technique, but the results seem well worthwhileSmile
