Mystery location

By dudler
I spent a couple of hours with this chap yesterday, taking portraits... His name is Timothy Hoad, and he's a singer-songwriter, actor and model. Should you be interested, you can find soem of his work on

We had great fun experimenting with several lenses, some of which may have come into my posession last week at the NEC show...

It's possible that the woollybills may recognise the exact spot where I took this. Memory test time...

Nice experimenting.
Could this be a certain church yard in Leek perhaps?

I can't place it exactly, but it may be the garden/courtyard of the establishment purveying excellent coffee and bacon sandwiches . . . .
Wish I could still use my LB now and again, though I no longer have a Nikon to attach it to Wink It's all a matter of eyesight Blush

A Sony CSC makes it realtively easy, Bill. And Moira was right - about 70 yards north of yoru location (and people standing on tables to take pictures).

I very rarely use my Lensbaby (in fact I don't think I have ever used it on my current camera) - it is such a complete pain. It is so old that it is not made (the closest is their most basic....the one made from a bit of washing machine waste-pipe) and I had to buy it direct from the inventor.

Sepia is an interesting proposition here. It matches the male ponytail and wigs of the 18th-19th century era☺
I guess only the Version picture is shot with the Lensbaby, was the lead image too?

How the hell Bill and Moira managed to get that location is a mystery they will have to explain...
Lensbaby is fun, it seems.

Both images shot with the 85mm Velvet.

Bill and Moira have walked down that path - albeit two years ago.
