Lovely shot, Hugh. I'm afraid I too don't know where daffodils end and narcissi start. But matters it not - what you have here is a very lovely shot, captured in low fairly soft light and with superb detail and textures. I love the soft tones throughout the image - so very attractive.
Regards, Ronnie.

So soft and delicate,,, you have handled it with equal care..!
Controlled brightness has helped the soft shadows.
Lovely capture.

Absolutely gorgeous! The light and detail are beautifully captured and it's clearly a superb flower. For your info, all daffodils are officially classed as Narcissus.

Very well taken Hugh as always, may have been tempted to "pop" the image, auto levels only would do the trick, the delicate detail not being compromised, only my thoughts Hugh.

You've caught excellent detail in this but it's about half a stop under-exposed, which has left the white flower distinctly grey. It also has a slight blue cast to it, caused by the camera getting the white balance wrong.

Setting the upper pointer of the levels tool to about 180 fixes the under-exposure; setting the colour temperature to something above 5200 removes the blue cast — how far above 5200 will depend on how yellowish the flower is supposed to be. I'd also clone out the out-of-focus blue thing in the top right corner.
