Natural filter

By helenlinda
Many thanks for C&C for my upload of Marjorie
I am enjoying being part of the Reality? group and have uploaded one image of this radiator there already. This is a tighter crop, increased contrast and just two colours, but the distortion is created by the frosted glass in the door.

This is my weekly upload- its been a long week,as you can see, as there have been three weekly uploads in it !!!!!

V2 as suggested by Brian and which shows quite clearly how out of line my vertical line is in the first place-oooooooooooooooops !!
So now we have a "molten gold waterfall"
Thanks Brian for the suggestion

Really li,ke this Helen, and prefer it to the original. The yellow line of the frame contrasts well with the distorted radiator reflection.

The crop plus the acid tone give a much more abstract feel, but I'm so glad you've kept that hard line down the left, it sort of anchors the shot to some sort of reality.

Would think you could have opened some Egyptian tomb and found wonderful golden relics inside. Am I being too fanciful?

Like the tone here Helen. As Joan says, not unlike some golden relic.

Thanks everyone for your comments - I'm glad Moira that you feel the yellow line from the door works, because it really didn't look right without it to me.

The group picture that you linked us to is a lot easier to understand, whereas this is pure abstract and I am sure I would never have guessed what it was, but I like abstracts and I also like the golden colour you have used.

Thanks Jenn, Pamela, Sylvia and Pascal. Pamela I think the link has helped people to understand it - its a bit like before and after. In fact I've had this sitting on my hard drive for several months, but not had the confidence to put it up until I had uploaded the linked image.

Thanks for link Helen - really like the radiator shot.Taken out of context I know but I think this would look like a molten gold waterfall if you flipped it vertically.
