Wow I love it when birds do this! That's an amazing photo! Not sure whether it's my monitor but it looks a bit dark?

Thanks for the comments.

Carrie, it was taken at about 4.30pm on Sunday so it was getting fairly dark. I have actually lightened the shot a bit over how it was captured.

Ali, it is worth seeking out, it is a stunning sight and noise they make is special too. I am lucky enough to live less than 30 minutes from this location.

I'm really glad I viewed this wonderful shot. A couple of years ago this was happening over our car park at work. Very messy, but amazing to watch and listen to.

Brilliant! - looked like mountains in the mist on the thumb nail. Think it could be lightened a wee bit to get more effect.

Beautiful shot. Has the mood of a painting. The still water and flowing, swirling life in the sky makes an unusual juxtaposition. Well observed and captured!!

Great shot I used to love watching starlings preparing to roost in the reedbeds at a lake I used to visit years ago, this takes me back, lovely.
