Naughty Snake !!

By Hermanus
This naughty little snake [ about 40cm / 15 inches long] bit the guy who helped me get the garden ready for winter on his finger yesterday !! Fortunately it is not poisonous Smile It is called a Twakroller [ Tobacco roller] in the local vernacular because it rolls itself up when in danger. We found three snakes yesterday Smile Must be the last of the warm weather driving them out to get a last bit before their winter sleep Smile
V2 - Fully coiled up
Thanx so much for your votes and comments on the YELLOWTAIL fish in the bucket - much appreciated !
Have a great midweek break Smile

I am happy we don't have these critters around our way, Herman, but they make fine subjects all the same, and you have captured this one's characteristic behaviour so well in these two shots.

Fascinating Herman. Good shots
We get garter snakes in our gardens here. Totally benign, they eat pests. This looks much cooler. A really unusual snake.

Good photos, Herman.
