Near and Far

back to the lakes... taken from a favourite view point above Millbeck and Applethwaite. I keet trying to photograph this line of old hawthorn trees. Here Derwentwater is fading into the background.

When uploaded it didn't quite look straight, so I've added a version with a tweak!

Trees are difficult to capture! This is lovely and I think the light will be so important on this exposed site. I really like it Andrew.

Very nice work.
Good use of monochrome.
It has a nice feel a good leading line with the trees.
The mist gives a nice atmosphere.

Although there's no definite horizon line, it does look better in the version. A very lovely atmospheric capture, Andy 😃👍

Lovely work ... Like the composition lead and gradual fade off adds to drama
