Never Forget

By Snaphappyannie
To commemorate Remembrance Sunday. Three years ago, the Poppies came to Plymouth Hoe. A wonderful display around the Cenotaph. Well guarded by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and others - I became quite well known to them, as I visited on several occasions at 5.00am keen to get a view of this without crowds. It was worth the effort.
On this morning, it was raining - but the poppy reflections on the ground looked like all the spilled blood to me.
Every Friday during the exhibition, as the sun set, the Last Post was sounded - but as you could imagine - it was hugely crowded - but nonetheless, so emotive.
