good afternoon Smile

thank you all for comments on last uploads... very much appreciated

those shots to show you the Ricoh's macro capabilities...

#1 (we've all seen so much better here on epz...)
you can here evaluate (large?) the noise reduction artifacts made by R8's processor : Smooth Imaging Engine III : "smooth" is a well chosen word in this case Wink

#2 an excellent option for a compact : AF / AE target selection (here, AE on the centre petal's bottom : the window is, of course, blown out Sad but the exposure on the flower is quite alright...)

#3 for nothing, just for fun, comp. & pattern...

I love em all. 1 for the detail and colours; 2 because it's dreamy and whimsical and 3 because I can see a curious comp you're aiming for.

pascal I think these are really great. A very happy birthday to you. Absolutely love the exposure on #2, great detail there.

I can't tell from some of your comments regarding this Ricoh, are you happy with it. I think all of the fixed lens cameras have a limitation of some sort.
