New Years Day Standard 5 Heading for Leicester North

By Paulmayo21
British Railways Standard Class 5 No. 73156 is a preserved British steam locomotive. Its restoration at Loughborough on the Great Central Railway was completed in 2017, and it made its formal debut on 5 October 2017 in the guise of 73084 Tintagel. 73156 is the sole surviving BR Standard locomotive built at Doncaster Works

New Years Day 1250 Departure from Loughborough Central heading for Leicester North on a cold & overcast start to the year, seen working hard as its leaves Quorn & Woodhouse Station heading towards Rothley Station next stop...

An excellent shot as is the other shots in your portfolio. All nicely done.

A wonderful and nostalgic photo of another time....and one now where we cannot afford to be burning--or even mining---coal anymore.

Super capture that takes you back in time!
