I know this is a terrible photo technically but it's a quick shot through my garden window and heavily cropped. I just spotted this little cutie getting to grips with the peanut feeder and just had to get a pic, good or bad. I think a new lot have just fledged as there were four babies hanging on at one point. Smile

And some interesting behaviour from a great tit too. It was looking around in all the nooks and crannies of the garden, down the drain, in the woodpile, and even hovering underneath the garden table looking in the corners for small insects. It then looked all round the perimeter of the garden. I do hope it found something.

AND, yesterday evening I had a visit from a jackdaw no less. I've never seen one before and it was hanging off the fat ball feeder.

The garden's been so busy today. Everywhere there's a starling - must be over 60 in all, pigeons, doves, squirrels, magpies - all sorts. Smile

Same here with the young ones...........this morning has been Jackdaws (no Pics yet), baby Siskins, Great Tits, House & Tree Sparrows, Robins and so of the cats brought in a bird for me this morning even though he wears a collar with a big bell on...........he deposited the little one on the bedroom carpet.............I shot out of bed and picked up the was in shock but still breathing...........just 10 minutes ago the baby was fully recovered and flew off to live another took over 4.5 hrs to recover but I was so pleased when I watched it fly back to the trees..........GrinGrinGrin

It's the first time this year that cat has brought me a gift..............I told him no more thank you...........GrinGrinGrin

Oh and we have the Starlings again this noisy as ever.............GrinGrinGrin

Wonderfully endearing shot Smile I was just watching three baby swallows on a fence being fed by their busy parents from 3 meters away; such a treat Smile

Love the angle of the leg, that's attitude. Much more entertaining than your standard stuffed-specimen-on-a-stick shot.

Maybe not technically perfect, but it sure is better than no photo at all! Wink And this is wonderful, Chris, of this little chap hanging in there Smile You certainly have plenty of visitors to your garden Smile

You're right. It's a terrible photo. Take it down immediately or I will never speak to you again.

I think it's an excellent grab, Chris, 'cos to me it's what photography is all about --- grabbing the moment. And you've grabbed it well! Just like that little fella has done with his ginormous lunch

And he's SO cute with that fluffy dishevelled look GrinGrin

Actually, this is very sweet. As baby blue tits go, this one isn't going to win any prizes in the 'looks' department, but that just makes him all the more appealing.

Your garden sound a hive of activity. A few sparrows and a pair of Blackbirds and a hedgehog leaving calling cards on our patio.Wink

I would willingly shoot all Jackdaws. They visit my garden in great numbers, eat all the fat balls then start on the nuts. I just cannot afford it any longer. That's a cute little one which you have photographed so well Chris.

This is so cute - hate that word but it is! My garden is very busy too - we have a bottle feeder from which the little birds throw seed down to be eaten by the bigger birds. We get quite a few jackdaws - noisy!!!
