Newport Bridge, four views

By oldgreyheron
Middlesbrough's Newport Bridge over the River Tees seen from the North side. Do look at the versions, there are a couple of interesting close ups! This was originally a vertical lift bridge to allow vessels to pass upstream, built by Dorman Long in 1934. It was sealed down on 18 November 1990.
