The previous Night and Day showed Chelsea Bridge from the upstream. This is the view from the other side.

v1...... Iso 100, f16, 0.5sec, @16mm

v2..... Iso 200, f16, 1/200s, @18mm

Both with tripod and remote. No filters.

Love the contrasting curves as seen from this angle. The houses in the left background stand out more at night - I didn't notice them on first viewing V2!
Has to be the night shot for me.

Amazing the difference the ISO had made - where these taken about the same time?

While I like the day shot, the night shot really comes to life with the lights and the light reflection colouring the water.
This is what I would like to learn WinkGrin. BTW we are both not fussed so could come up with something nearer the time.

Like both, but V1 the most. Terrific composition.
Your "Park Bench" image has 90 votes ( which it richly deserves ) so it doesn't really need any moreSmile but I think it's one of the best black'n'whites I've seen all week. Fabulous. The light through the Willow, and that pigeon wandering about ....... wish I'd taken that...... I hate you Grin

Both stunning, as always, but the night shot nails it.


All four images are superb Dave. I want to say I really can't choose, but maybe the night shots tip the balance if, for no other reason than there's less detail (because it's night) leaving more to the imagination.

Wonderfully contrasting shots. It makes me realise the the totally different atmosphere in a scene between night and day. one bright and cheery and other mysterious and full of intrigue. paul
A really good capture the only comment for me would be more pathway
and getting away from being central. Well done. WesternRed.
