Night Harvester

By GordonLack
Perhaps not the best of images, but a record of gathering the harvest. Taken hand held using only the lighting from the vehicles in the middle of the field opposite our home last night, local farmers gathering the harvest well into the night. The weather this year has had a drastic effect on cereal crops, tonnage to the acre being down and a lot of the harvest being unfit for human cosumption which undoubtedly mean higher bread prices next year.

Great bit of the history of summer 2012 captured in this one! I hear the malsters are taking lower standards than usual as they are finding it so hard to find anything of the standard they'd usually demand, so looks like it isn't only bread which will be going up in price!! At least with luck the cattle and sheep should have a good supply of feeding this year.

Excellent Gordon ( wanted to see this !!! and you should have used a tripod Wink ) This should do well for it's rarity of rural life, worth entering else where too. Enjoying the motion captured too.
