Night light

By PaulMillar
Hi all, this is the second in my images from Sunday at Scurdie Ness Lighthouse neer Montrose. I dropped down off the hill to the beach and felt so good to be out the strong wind. I found it a struggle to get the balance between a faster shutter speed and trying to gain a drawn out sky. Ended up using my Lee filters to help out. It was a great day and very much enjoyed the walk along road to the lighthouse, you get some great views.

Going to spend tomorrow night catching up on all your shots.........hope you enjoy. I also can confirm that there is snow in Scotland. It looked so bright white in the afternoon sun.

Paul.

Beautiful portrait framing here Paul and you certainly got a great result with your filters.
The sky is lovely and those f/g pebbles/stones look fantastic in your lead in.

This is SO nice, Paul. Lovely stoney beach lead-in to the lighthouse; and you caught the sky beautifully.

A superbly composed and crafted composition captured from a great point of view allowing you to capture in detail the wonderful foreground detail, then the main subject.

I was going to suggest a mono version maybe but you would lose those lovely sand/pebble tones.
