Night Time...Day Time

By Leilani
Okay I'm in one of those moods, my mojo has up and left and I am playing endlessly with a photo that is driving me mad (only bout a year)! It's what they call a chocolate box cottage and it's on the edge of Runswick Bay.

Doesn't matter which way I try to get to look half decent, it's escaping me. So, whilst adjusting I came across this tone and thought...Ooo that looks like night time, so I added a moon (I know it's in the wrong place for all those pernickety buggers out there! Grin )...the second version is day time.

Added bonus...there is a UFO in the photo, directly above the house, little silver ball like object. Which was on the original and other shots and no it's wasn't all, so not on the lens. Grin

Well, you have been having some fun Loren.
V1 Kind’a works. I like it Smile

V2 is a lovely view of the cottage.
I might be tempted to do a tighter vertical crop of the cottage without cutting off the sweep of the sea wall. Just a thought.

Excellent pseudo-night production although I'm not a fan of telephone wires and would have been inclined to clone them out.

Phone wires? The bane of my life here in Portugal. They are so common I forget them.
I love both shots, night and day..

I know what you mean Dave, don't like telephone lines obstructing, I would normally take out if I felt it was, but I think we can sanitise images too much, It's part of the image and they aren't intruding in my mind, but thanks for the feed back and your opinion. Smile

Thanks Harriet...Portugal, telephone lines or not I am feeling green at the thought of a warm country Smile

I personally like what you've done with V1 Loren.....it adds a kind of cinematic remoteness to the scene. I'd love to know the origin of the UFO!! Smile

V1 is very good, and although maybe haing taken a year, shows great imagination ! I have two shots that I took in London last year and am convinced they show a UFO, maybe I will post ?

Wow what a wonderful effect and like the way the cottage stands out Brilliantly. I did some similar treatment on the Liver Buildings in Liverpool. Congrats on producing this image. Clever and artistic. Paul

I really like this Smile

Very moody. I like V1 better as it creates a bit of atmosphere - feels like a storm is brewing.
