No Landing

Watching terns feeding in Iceland I had a feeling the parents on occasion weren't touching down. I shot a burst series of shots and that seemed to prove they were touching down but later in the photo's I found this one, so my eyes weren't deceiving me. As the parent approaches there are a number of tweets between the fledgling and the parent and the fledgling moves rapidly to line up directly with the approaching parent. An amazing spectacle. Photographed near Rif on the Snaefellness Peninsular, Iceland
