I love these sort of images, but never seem to be able to be in the right place to capture them. Lovely work Wink

Those trees are definitely watching her. Fantastic atmosphere, cold and menacing.

Cheers. it was by a lake and I was driving past as the sun went down. I saw the mist forming as the sun disappeared. It only lasted about half an hour, before lifting again. Wierd conditions....

Quickest decision so far. This reminds me of illustrations in childhood books, the scariness of a natural world that's just a bit too big and unfriendly for comfort.
Oh and my daughter did her first degree at Nottingham, I know the woods and the lake very well!

A wonderful mistiness down at the end of the tree enclosed path. Trees to hide behind. Makes you want to listen for strange sounds................Sandy

Very nice capture, slightly eerie! Love the way the trees lead your eyes right into the picture. Nice.

I am glad to see that this shot has got so many good comments, often images like this which are classical just seem to get passed by without a second thought to them. This has a timeless feel to and the way you are lead through the image to the person struggling off in the distance pulls you right into the shot, mono works so well here as colour would do it no justice at all. A great winter shot nice one, John.
