This photograph is part of my first shoot for my A Level photography coursework, for my project I am aiming to create abstract photographs through experimenting with different angles and looking at patterns and textures in nature. Any advice on how to improve this photograph or other ideas on this theme would be appreicated Smile

you could try cropping it at the bottom
just above the high light,
i think it would have more potential for different thoughts

Yes I agree with Paree - crop so there's nothing other than intersecting line at the bottom right and you have a very strong shape / smooth texture with emphasis on the highlighted outlines
