North Berwick Harbour.

By Tooma
North Berwick on the south shore of the River Forth Estuary is another town I like, and enjoy visiting. It is called North Berwick to distinguish it from the English Berwick, just south of the border with England; full name, Berwick-upon-Tweed. At one time Berwick was within the Scottish border, and has actually changed nationality two or three times as a result of various fights over it.
Anyways, North Berwick is a decent sized town, with lots of eateries, some good, some good value, some pretentious and over-priced, some just pricey, lots of B&Bs, an attractive harbour area, a sea-bird centre, a big open air paddling pool, golf course, pitch-n-putt, very clean public toilets, a big long beautiful beach, and a welcoming church on the main street.

My home town, in fact you can see my house in your photograph. You must have taken this at a quiet time of day, as usually it is crowded. I was walking through your photograph’s site yesterday, when down at the Seabird Centre for lunch!!
On the right hand edge of your picture is the “Lobster Shack” where you can buy fresh cooked lobsters plus a drink. Ian

Mac - How neat is that for timing! Not eaten at the Lobster Shack yet, mainly because at the time we were last there neither my wife or myself had tasted lobster, however we have now, and quite liked it, so....
The last two visits we lunched at The Ship Inn, and enjoyed our meals there.
