Well just returned from Norway last night and was privileged enough to see this display two nights ago! We were in Tromso which is 200 miles above the Arctic Circle. Not earth shattering in terms of event intensity but for a first timer it was awesome. Temperature was about -10 or under for all five nights we were there, but I did not have to charge my batteries once! (Thank goodness for the battery grip!) My tripod legs did freeze solid though :S
