This is a wonderful portrait and the toning is great.
If I have one criticism, it is not with the photographer, but with those acting. They are just too old. If I work out my parents ages at that time, they were in their late teens, and even the "old" aircrew were largely in their early to mid twenties. Perhaps the actors need to do a recruitment drive before we get photos of the "few" trundling off to their Spitfires in period bath-chairs.
