Not a perfect globe....

By NDODS
This image depicting a rather handsome looking Bee busying himself on a Chive Flower head was captured last year whilst sitting in my garden in Rochester. Although not perfect my any means I rather liked the composition hence it's appearance on ePZ.

Before I forget and continue to ramble on I must take the opportunity to thank you all for the wonderful comments, votes and messages of encouragement following yesterdays panoramic upload. A special mention going to Natures Heaven (Julia) and Sue118 (Sue) for presenting me with their most welcomed User Awards.

I sincerely hope that you all have a wonderful day ahead, for me it entails several appointments with the Brain People at Sevenoaks today, and then a trip to King's Hospital tomorrow, so I shall have to apologise now because I will not have the time to sit and admire all your great work.

Highest Regards Nathan GrinGrinGrin

I love bumbles - I have a nest of them in my porch. Right next to which is an enormous heebie bush, which they love.
One of the reasons I love them is because, as a retired structural engineer, with an obvious interest in maths and physics, I am always amused by the statement of supposed fact, regarding the bumble-bee.
According to may of the laws of physics, a bumble-bee cannot fly. Due to the seemingly vast discrepancy between it's apparent weight, gauged by its body size, and the surface area of its wings.
Yet they have been recorded as landing on the sails of yachts (presumably for a rest) Wink in the middle of the North Sea.
The other thing I like about them is that they are so harmless. They do sting - but very seldom.

All the very best for today and tomorrow Nathan.
My thoughts go with you.
