Yes I love it too, the soft tones suit the flower well, a very nice B&W,
Chris.
Flowers come to our mind with colours but as they are so beautiful anyway nothing is lost in B&W. It's more like a stylised image. I love this onbe very much. JNC

Excellent shot and title! I personally am of the opinion that flowers should be photographed in glorious technicolour but there are exceptions and this is one of them. At first glance I thought it was a "white on white" shot. It's perfect.

The tones in this are super, the black is true black and that really works here. I think black and white is a nice treat from time to time, and this is very sophisticated and beautiful.

I really like it.
Did you try a fine black line around it instead of the grey you've used?
That might give it the 'pop' you're looking for.

Looks good in mono and often such images look better on the wall than a coloured version. Of course it depends on your decor but those with a modern minimalist style would likely love it.
PS I have uploaded a mod and forgot to say I added a stronger black stroke to it to give it more punch.

Works so well Chris ... tho i have to agreee with Dionne with the thicker stroke ..... that was all it needed to make it pop that little more .... but what a beauty! I think we should try converting with flowers more often .... with a heck of a lot, it would work a treat IMO! It certainly does with this beauty! Click*Karen

Must confess I like to see the colours of flowers as I find this is a major part of their beauty but this image still conveys the beauty and delicacy of the flower and also the b&w treatment seems to highlight the details of the flower. Nice shot. But I think that all the petals should show their points in the frame, perhaps I am just a square...that is how I feel.
But nice tones in the leaves and stamens, but the stem could have been more pronounced.
Great B+W can see the standard of the shot, but I hope you can see my 'Point'...Chen.
