Not much of a view up here!

Many thanks to Richard (woodini254), Carole (monochrome2004), Ian(dales) and Phil (OverthehillPhil) for your valued UA's for my River Brathay series, all very much appreciated. Thanks also to everyone who voted/commented.

Set off to climb Blawith Knott and Tottlebank Heights today as a good day was forecast and the views from the summits are usually amazing!
Got half way up the first fell and the mist and the rain came in Sad. Anyway we carried on and did both summits only getting the camera out of the rucksack for a quick shot of the cairns and the disappointing views. As usual the sun came out when the walk was nearly finished, will return in the autumn/winter when the bracken has died down and will wait for a cool sunny day.

Reminds me of when I was on holiday to the Isle of Man, not this year, but previously in August 2002 on looking back at my images. I'd gone on the Snaefell mountain railway to the summit, where on a clear day you can see, England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. However, it was that foggy at the top you could only see about 50 metres! 😯
A lovely trio here though, Carol, despite your mist, and I go for V2 as my fave also 😀👍
