Not So Elusive...

An Eurasian Bittern (having decided it doesn't want to live up to its reputation as being rather hard to find) takes a walk-about at my local Nature Reserve.

What a great shot as as you say just so unusal.
We spent over an hour looking at what we thought was a bitten in the reeds at Dungerness. After me saying many times it wasn't it, it suddenly flew off. I'm not sure if the wife was more pleased to see the bitteren or that she was right...

Splendid capture Terry, one doesn't come across a Bittern out in the open as often
