Not so Watery Cauldron

By jeanie
An alternative look to yesterdays shot... with a lot less water cascading down the falls.
Still gorgeous weather not ... but hey who needs sunshine???? (thats just me conning the weather for next time I go up there)

This was taken a month after yesterdays upload.. after a lot less rainfall.

Sorry if I am boring you with my experiment..... (ab)normal service will soon resume : )

Nice exposure Jeanie, you've captured the movement and got a good DOF without burning out the water

Oh yes love it. Love the low angle shots that you take, giving the effect of the water coming at you. The tree in the backgroung is so perfectly positioned. Great shot again Jeanie.

Cheers Martin, Norma, Kin, Steve, Maddie and Glynn....
Yes the tree is better positioned here.
Yesterdays image was one of 3 and thats not like me at all to only take 3 but the rain was impossible.... this time I had more time to try to compose the image and I got the tree in the middle of the v of the glen.

This is a real beauty Jeanie. There's lots of interest in there, tones and detail.

I like this shot, would perhaps prefer to see a bit more of the grey sky behind as it creates a great mood for the photo, but still very nice!

I prefer this one Jeanie, the composition feels more balanced, and the lighting is much better.

Another cracker, can't wait to get back up here in August now.

I must get me some ND filters and use them to good effect as you've done here, Jeanie. Nice sense of power from the water.

I really like this. It is powerful and (for me) perfectly composed. The water movement is spot on.
