This image is what it says on the tin - there is nothing there. It a picture of what is missing. This is the part of the Welsh countryside used by fighter jets of the RAF and USAF and European air forces, to practice low flying tactics. The theory is, you climb to this vantage point, and watch and wait for aircraft at full throttle to fly by below you. So I - along with about 200 other people - did just that. But there was no fly-past. So I was stuck for 2 hours looking at this scene. I mean - what could be worse? How boring can you get? Instead of the thunderous power of a jet aircraft, the most was a distant bleat of sheep, and crows, a couple of clouds, and mountain ridges.
What a waste.......

That's not a waste, it is an opportunity to look in a different direction.
OK so the aeroplanes weren't there, and publishing or otherwise informing you of this venue, got a lot of folk together, so the 'plane drivers could make their scene somewhere else. Sad
But, all the same, something is revealed here in this rather nice image of rural Wales.
Chin up, bash on, another day tomorrow.
I like this image.

And there's always the Cross Foxes at the bottom of the road...

Mind you, the other 200 togs may have spoiled the quiet contemplation that would otherwise be possible.
