The limited depth of field works well in giving the bird some seperation from his background and the colours look natural and accurate.
The composition could have been stronger with the bird a bit higher in the frame, leaving more space for him to move into.

A classic pose and good catchlight in the eye but have to ask has this had noise removal applied as the plumage looks very soft

Yes Richard I did remove the noise, but it was a very dull day and a rather fast shutter speed, so I thought I was quite lucky to get it. Thanks for the comment tho' and your time. helen
