A big, big thankyou for all the responses to my Tower Bridge mini-series. "I'll be back"Grin, but for now, a return to the Floriade Flower Festival in the Netherlands. As this is Sunday I thought I'd show a few of the 'Oddities', the more quirky exhibits, of the show.

v1 - the Dutch version of the Eden Project's mud giant.

v2 - the 'Water Dome' - no scale (pun intended) but this sculpture was about 30ft high.

v3 - a tribute to the Tour de France, but my tribute to the GB Olympic cycling team Smile

v4 - I couldn't decide which was my best side! - careful with your comments!!!Tongue

A rather unusual but extremely eye opening and thought provoking set of images, which each "apart from version number four" provide the viewer with something to ponder upon, and certainly admire. Only the wonderfully carefree 'Dutch' could come up with such Three Dimensional imagery such as this. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

I do like v1 - great imagination and work for that. I wish to complain about V4, there is a guy in there trying to take shots of the inside of my computer Tongue, but there is a lady watching him in the bg there.
Good fun set of shots Dave. Moira

V1 is fabulous - subject and composition. The moss and grasses are obviously making it a part of nature, as it was intended to be.
As for V4 - Vanitas vanitatum, est omnia vanitas... I see that you had an amused observer.

V4 for me my friend. It's beautifully balanced, and wonderfully framed, although it's a fun shot. I don't normally look at explicit images, let alone comment on them, but here I will make an exception. It was the floor that caught my attention, not the sparrow...SmileWink

At first I thought I recognised the guy in V1 as the neighbour to my good friend captured in this image Wink
Like the colour of v2 as well and the cyclistd in v3 look as if they are competing for the green jersey (what else?).
V4 leaves me (almost) speechless. Don't know where you bought those legs, but take them back and get a refundTongueGrin
