Off Camera

By Daisy_intheMill
We were having discussion earlier on woodrow 's pic about off camera gaze and interacting with the photographer/viewer.

These 2 are from a recent shoot of 6 girls - and of all the images this is the one that they liked the most.
I'd like your comments too - thanks.

Comments as always appreciated - many thanks!

I like the almost high key effect of the lighting in the mono version Jude. Hope you are keeping well Wink

I prefer the mono version, however this is partly down to the look on the girls face. Having looked at Woodrows photo as referee to above I think the major difference is that the subject in this case appears to be looking into space rather than looking at something or someone specific out of shot.

Hi Jude, this is really nice as the young girl is clearly engaging with someone/thing. Soft light, tones & a tight crop all add = good portrait

Well done

Haha - I'd actually asked her to softly look at a spot on the softbox edge - her friends behind me were making her laugh.
We get some pretty girls coming to our pamper parties - it's a real pleasure to work with them.

Haha - just noticed your award Paul -Grin Thanks!!!!
