Off the beaten track

This was taken in The Woodland Gardens in Bushy Park this autumn. It’s in a quieter area, on a narrow path which gets rather muddy. It’s a lovely walk alongside a stream where I keep hoping to see a kingfisher. I loved the reflections of the trees and the shrubbery.

This is my first experiment using Snapseed which a lovely member of the critique team recommended. I had great fun experimenting. Thank you

The image as uploaded is abut 550kb. The iPhone can produce and image of at least 1.5mb, so its possible what you upload is only 1/3 the file size available, meaning it loses quite a bit of quality.

Make sure youre not doing anything that reduces file size for the web in your process!

Thank you. Brighter looked much better. I’ll have to look up ‘saturation’!!!

I experimented with Snapseed & uploaded the image from there. Do I have to do something with the image before I upload it to ensure I get the full 1.5mb? I haven’t ever altered the camera setting on my phone.
