Oh No, Not Another One!

By conrad
I'm afraid I keep going back to my Rowardennan photo folder - it just doesn't feel like I'm finished with those pictures yet. So if you don't mind - here's yet another shot of Black Rock Cottage. Looking at the series of shots I took there, it's hard to believe they were taken only minutes or even seconds apart. The light and clouds were changing so fast.

Anyway - I didn't do much to this one, didn't even crop it. Just cloned out a car bumper and gave it some very minor tweaks. Not EC material, I know, but I happen to like this one myself. Wink

However - comments and mods are welcome, so please speak your mind and tell me what you think!

Thanks for looking!

I think I recognise this, don't know where from though! It just seems familiar to me!

Nicely done Conrad, lovelly colour to the grass & trees, given the conditions.

Its a good one Conrad, nicely exposed as you can still see the textured of the cottage walls.

If you like it Conrad thats all that matters. Dont worry what everbody else thinks. Moody comment on a well heeled scene, one that I have never done! Ron.

Well exposed, good composition and really moody. One small niggle is I think the foreground is a little too contrasty, giving an unreal feel to the wall and parts of the bracken.

Ian - That may be a good point, I'll have a look at the file again. Thanks!

Hallo Conrad.
The most photographed cottage of Scotland.
No doubt a perfect scene, but the sharpness is a bit too high in this one.

Well, I didn't up it that much, so I have no idea why the sharpness would be too much for you. Unless you mean the contrast mentioned by Ian? But thanks for the comment, Jan!
