Last night, I sautéed a skillet full of Brussels sprouts, bacon patted with a paper towel to reduce fat, minced garlic, and thin sliced leeks. The dressing was a classic vinaigrette. As soon as I put some olive oil and white balsamic vinegar together in a small steel bowl, My photographers instincts came out. It looked like a golden shield from an ancient warrior race. I gabbed my Nikon Coolpix 510 and started shooting. The two ingredients joined by themselves after a couple of minutes, but I had a couple of good shots. No wonder wives and husbands think we are nuts.
