Old Belgrade

By MileJanjic
The old and most beautiful side of Belgrade, with its characteristic and historical buildings. Nowadays, there is a New Belgrade growing up across the river Sava and mostly dedicated to a sort of business centre. The real soul of Belgrade, although, lives here.

A big thank you for all kind words and votes on yesterday's upload. Thank you very much, Moira, Oliver, Leo, Rambler, Saltireblue, Fefe, Peter, Clicknimagine, RobboB, ScottishHaggis and Taggart for their precious awards.

I wish you all a bright day!

That's fascinating, Mile. It's the sort of scene one imagines when hearing the city's name, and it's good to know the old area still survives. Hope to see more. Allan

looks nostalgic to me
in my younger days i lived in Moscow downtown area in an old street and in a house built in the 19th cent.

Architecture worth preserving - unlike so much that is new today.
