...the sea thrift in the cracks between the stones of the old wall caught my eye with the Isle of Arran in the background. The next rain shower is fast approaching across the River Clyde.

You certainly seem to have a lot of that wet stuff Dougie. Some lovely colour and texture on that harbour wall.

Excellent composition and clarity here Dougie, well spotted!

It looks like you were trying to find shelter from the rain Dougie. A forlorn activity the way this summer has been so far. Good detail and colour in the harbour wall with that threatening rain coming in across the firth.

Sea thrift and lichen, a lovely combination.

Delightful mix of tones in the foreground: such things seem to benefit tonally from an overcast sky. And what a sky! I like the division of the frame that you have chosen; the present is right here, but the future is on its way!

P.S.: More than happy for you to 'go on', as you put it yesterday, Dougie. After all, I do so all the time!

I always like trying to visualise exactly where you were for a shot, Dougie, but there is not enough info here for me to achieve thatSad.
The various colours and textures in the old sea wall make for a very interesting f/g, and true to the Scottish summer, a heavy squall looks like heading your way
Ronnie. from just south of Arran.

A good point of view with some great clouds coming in

I like the rich tones and lead in with the harbour wall and that great sky Smile

Good composition Dougie, the wall is a great feature with the lichen and Arran tops off the image well.

Not everything's getting worse with the years passing by... beautiful colours and an also beautiful island at the far end...
